Devgad is a coastal town in the Konkan region famous for its Alphonso (Hapus) mangoes and fishes. It is blessed with virgin coastline with pristine beaches and lots of interesting landscape. It is just 150 kms north of Goa and 500 kms south of Mumbai and 400 kms south of Pune. Koknan itself is the land-strip between the west coast and the Sahyadri mountain ranges on the east spanning from the Daman area of Gujrat to the northern Karantaka region near Karwaar.
